Fateuser Eats: Mint Vinetu (Vilnius, Lithuania)

Mint Vinetu

This is technically not a Fateuser Eats. Mint Vinetu (Vilnius, Lithuania) is a Book Store & Tea Place. I was there in September 2014, the same day I ate in Drama Burger. First of all, I would like to say that the Chai Tea that I had was quite tasty, so it was the coffee that my friend @faufainis had. The place itself is amazing. Very quiet, full of books and a couple of dogs (I wonder if they will still be around) welcoming the new and old customers. It is definitely a recommended chill and relax place. It reminded me (in a way) of when I was in Paris in the Shakespeare and Company library. Plenty of books everywhere. Oh, and also in Mint Vinetu you can listen to a great music selection and grab the books they have there. Tea (or coffee) and books. Such a perfect combo.

Can’t wait to go back there again!

The Final Mark: ✌ ✌ ✌ ✌ ✌ ✌ ✌ ✌  (8/10) fates.

Šarūnas

About a month ago, my friend Šarūnas and I went to Vilnius. We really did squeeze all the hours that we spent over there. After having a great lunch at Drama Burger, we headed south for a haircut. Will talk about it in the near future. After that he brought me to a tower of the Vilnius Univeristy. This has become a potentially new favorite spot in the city. Never been there? GO!

I have been in Vilnius approximately 20 times, but never walked inside of this place. I guess that it’s one of the best things of exploring the cities with locals.

Sometimes I think that I’d rather live in Vilnius than Kaunas. It’s a bigger city, it has more «city-life» and looks more cosmopolitan to me. But then I realize that here in Kaunas is where I have sort of my everything right now. I think it doesn’t depend that much about the city you live in but about the people you decide to spend time with.

Peace.

Thoughts about my first Trail Run

DCIM100GOPRO

On the 1st of May I had my first Trail Run ever. I was very excited about it because even though I had run few 10km races before, none of them were through the woods and with no water supply during the whole race, so it was going to be a great adventure.

And it definitely was. Arrived to Bezdonys around 09:45, got our numbers and got ready to start running. The place was wonderful, magical and 100% in the nature, which makes everything better. I finished the 10km in 56:28 min, which wasn’t my best time. But I really didn’t care. I wasn’t there to run the fastest or to beat my own time. I was there to have a great time with my friends and that’s exactly what I did.

Oh, and I filmed the whole thing.

Visita turística a Vilnius

Fateuser Eats: Paukščių takas (Milky Way) (Vilnius, Lithuania)

vilnius

  • Location: Sausio 13-osios 10 LT-2050 Vilnius, Lithuania
  • Price: Snack + Main Course + Dessert  + Drink = 50 – 70Lt (14,5 – 20 €) | The entrance costs 21Lt (6€)
  • Hours:  Mon-Sun 10:00 – 22:00.
  • Cuisine: Worldwide.
  • The Review: It was the first time I was visiting the Vilnius TV tower (a really emblematic lithuanian construction). The price of the ascension to the restaurant (located at the height of 165 metres) is a bit expensive from my point of view but the sightseeing really deserves the price. The restaurant is a rotating one. I discovered it when I was sitting at the table and looking the lithuanian sunset and suddenly I realized that we were moving. Quite cool. The first one (and hopefully not the last one) I’ve ever been. The food wasn’t anything impressive, I had an apple pie with ice cream with an acorn coffee (really tasty actually). The best thing was the view of Vilnius.
